Two weeks down, two to go
The semester is almost over. FINALLY! This has been a long and intense semester, with crazy things happening all the time. People passing out in chapel, me getting the stomach flu, Dland adventures, Missions Conference, giving away shoes on Skid row, papers, Greek, SOS, and so, SO much more. I am sad that I don’t have much time left with my SOS crew, but I’m also glad that I get to go home for awhile. This summer I’ll be working at Sambica in Bellevue as a camp councilor, and that’s going to be a lot of fun.
These past two weeks have been pretty busy, but I’m getting too worn out to care anymore. I appeared in a music video about couches , appeared in the SOS number video, and some other stuff.
Last Friday I went to Matt and Claudia’s for a Final Finge Binge of the season. IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! I won’t talk about it at all, because I don’t want to give it away, but the end of season three is amazing!
Last Saturday I went to the beach with SOS and it was a blast. I didn’t get to go last year, so this year was kinda special to me. We have fun for a few hours and at the end we scooped up some sand as a sign to remember to pray for our students. We all took our sand in little containers and they serve to remind us to pray for our students by name, which we would receive in two days.

This past week has been the final push for Torrey, really. As of now i only have one more session left this semester and from here on out it will only be one session a week. That means only one book a week instead of three. The work load goes down because the units go down from 12 to 4. It has been a good run and I’ve learned a lot, but I’m burnt out on the 12 units (not Torrey, just 12 units) and I’m excited to see what 4 units will look like.
I also pretty much finished up my MIS class. I have one more class on Tuesday, but it’s just review. Greek is the only class that I’ll really have next week and it finishes on Friday, then the next week is finals week.
This weekend was a little booked. Not hectic, booked. Thursday night I stayed up till 2am editing my paper. I got up at 7:30 to go to Greek, then finished editing my paper and turned it in from 9:30-10:45. Immediately afterwards (like 10:40… I was late) we left for LA to pass out shoes on Skid Row. Let me give you some background. Before Missions Conference we collected a bunch of shoes and put them around campus with names of unreached people groups. There were several hundred pairs of shoes around campus donated by our own students. The plan was to give the shoes to people in skid row and in Africa. Well, months went by and the shoes were still sitting in the SUB (more…)
