SOS Week: Beach Day
Today we had more talks about life at Biola. The people there were nice, but we’ve had a million talks and at the end we had a survey we had to take. I was glad I managed to get breakfast before hand. After that I got my parking permit from the campus safety office and went to the Torrey office to make sure I was getting all my Bible major classes taken care of. The girl that works there, Natalie I believe, is an outstanding worker. She deals with all the Torrey students and makes sure they are getting their classes taken care of. She is so kind and works really hard. After that I worked on laundry, and that was an experience. Our laundry room doesn’t work, so I had to go upstairs to clean them. The whole thing was alot of trouble and in the end I have to go upstairs tomorrow to re-dry some clothes that got wrinkled because I couldn’t hang them up till several hours later.
After lunch and two more seminars about campus services and IT we went to the beach. The beach was awesome and we played games like barbarian women, eagles, and ninja. Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Correy, David, and I climbed around on rocks before the games and that was fun, but very painful. We finished the night with worship around a giant group of people with guitars.
Afterwards I got to run into Riley and he talked about how amazing God was. God had just showed Himself to Riley in a really cool way and it was inspiring, comforting, and uplifting to hear about it. All the people at Biola love God so much; it is so refreshing to hear God praised for all thing.
