Torrientation: The relax day
Today we started slowing down Torrientation and had alot of free time. I woke up a little late so I didn’t make it to the morning worship and I wanted to read my Bible. After breakfast we had more devotions and were told about things like the Urban Plunge and some other stuff. For lunch we got in cars and I drove down three other people to Chicken-fil-A where we were given all we could eat. It was pretty good food and their milkshakes were amazing. I would recommend it to other people as a good place for fast food… unless Torrientation is going on. After lunch we headed down to Huntington Beach. I think we took the LONG way because it took almost 45 minutes to get there! We had fun and burried ourselves in sand, threw sea shells at each other and such. I had driven down with Caleb, Ane Marie, Amanda, and one of the seers.
Once I got to my room I relaxed a little bit and checked my computer. I outlook the courtyard of Emerson and my computer is by my window so I can see when people go in and out of Emerson. As I was getting up I noticed two parents and their son walking towards the entrance. Their son was either really short, or really young, so I looked closer and realized it was Caleb’s younger brother. When he came back out we kinda made eye contact but he thought I was a stranger, I thought he didn’t want to say hi. Eventually I yelled at him and then he came over. He ran over to my room and we talked abit and then they left. So that was kinda funny, since one of my first guests in my dorm was my friend’s little bro.
After that Rodin, Ane Marie, and I went out to In-N-Out and talked for along time. It was a really good bonding time where we talked about things from churches that we come from to odd things that we do. Eventually I got cold so we headed back to Biola laughing the entire way as Dr. Doom gave us our directions (aka my GPS). Today was a good day at Biola, but it’s not over yet. My friend Greg managed to move in a day early and I’m going to see him later tonight. Biola is the place to be.
Rodin? I’m going to have to find a seashell to throw at you now.
