The Biola Journey of a Business/Bible major and Torrey student

Biola Bound

For those of you who don’t know, I’ll be heading down to Biola on August 13th to start this “rights of passage”, this “trial by fire”, this grand adventure called college. I will be in Torrey’s honor Institute (which just means I have to read alot) and Torrientation (my orrientation) starts on August 17th. That week we will be discussing A Man Who was Thursday, a book they are having us read this summer (which I just got today), and learn how to take notes. The next week is mostly fun orientation stuff; going to the beach, a baseball game, etc. Finally classes will begin and we’ll begin discussing the Illiad and the Odyssey, two more summer books.

Today I went down to a Biola “dessert” at Grace Community Church down in  Auburn. There were about seven or eight students there and we talked a bit at the end of it. I saw Daniel there and learned that he had finally chosen Biola. I had gone to other Biola meetings and CBU meetings with him, and he wasn’t sure which one, but in the end he chose Biola. Cassie and Greg were also there. I’m just one step closer to Biola!

A few other facts. I am double majoring in business and Bible to become a youth pastor (no, the business major has nothing to do with (w)holy jeans). I recently found out   will be staying in Emreson, one of the guy dorms. Biola stands for Bible Institute Of Los Angeles.

And lastly, I give the credit for this blog to Pen who told me I should start one for my Biola escapades, to my parents for putting me through Biola, to God for His direction and blessings in my life, and to all myt friends and family for all the support.
